FCC blasts AT&T for lies about T-Mobile merger http://j.mp/vXAh1a (CNN) "The agency also found AT&T's claims that the deal would create U.S. jobs "to be inconsistent with AT&T's internal analyses." In other words, the FCC thinks AT&T was lying to the public about the benefits of the merger. The FCC released the report even though, in a surprise move, AT&T (T, Fortune 500) said on Thanksgiving that it is no longer seeking the regulator's approval for the merger. Many analysts say they believe that AT&T's withdrawal was in part an attempt to prevent the FCC from going public with its reasons for opposing the deal." - - - --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein (lauren@vortex.com): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - Global Coalition for Transparent Internet Performance: http://www.gctip.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com Google+: http://vortex.com/g+lauren Twitter: https://twitter.com/laurenweinstein Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 / Skype: vortex.com
