Apple online bookstore vs. Herman Melville

Steve Jobs' "nannyization" of the Internet sometimes reaches
heights of sheer amusement.

Case in point, a new iPad user who noticed that its "iBooks" online
bookstore took issue with the word, er, "sperm" -- used to describe a
certain type of whale in a particular Herman Melville classic.

Interestingly, the Applematic Censorship Machine apparently didn't get
its petticoats aflutter over the *title* of the work, which could be
easily construed to reference a particularly grandiose male body part.

Now that's entertainment!  "Keep it up," Apple!  (Oops ...)
