Comcast CEO: "It was a mistake" to slow BitTorrent traffic

http://bit.ly/9kx6AL (The Hill)

I note that he apparently didn't address the fact that Comcast
interference with P2P was exposed by outside parties after the company
repeatedly lied about whether or not they were tampering with traffic
related to those sites. Maybe it just slipped his mind.

Part of the reason for Net Neutrality rules isn't just to mandate fair
treatment, but to put in place mechanisms for outside observers to
verify what's actually going on, even if the ISP is completely
trusted. The few dominant ISPs control 100% of the access to the
Internet for most users in the U.S.

So, no doubt those ISPs wouldn't argue against: "Trust but verify!"
 -- right?
