    words to describe the passion shown in the latter three videos
    that you list below.  I'll just say that this is important viewing
    for anyone concerned about domain names, trademarks, and the 
    intersection of the two.  This is also YouTube showing its
    public interest value in clear terms indeed.

Hi Lauren --

The gTLD "Implementation Recommendation Team" (IRT) did a tour of
various cities presenting their plans, starting this past summer,
including NYC.  You can find their summary of their proposals,
mostly dealing with trademark questions, here:
