[ NNSquad ] Strange asymmetry

My hotel (Hilton in Istanbul) offers “business class” Internet connectivity for 48TL (about $30) which is high but it is 20Mbps down and 1 or so MBps up. What makes this strange is that there is unlimited down but up is capped at 250GB.

This is strange and I have to wonder what the rational is. It matters because I wanted to copy my photos and video back to my home system but it’s about 10GB. Is there any real asymmetry in pricing or is this a foolish inconsistency?

So for now I’m just doing email using my phone. I bought a 3G SIM card with 1GB of data. It won’t let me copy my photos either but at least I’m not paying a high daily premium for little marginal benefit.
