Additionally, most of the changes were benign from the point of view
of the client:

70%+ were client local changes (popup filters/personal firewalls etc)

And many of the network modifications were effectively benign
(firewall software, compressing proxies)

We only saw a handful of incidents of actual advertisement injection,
and some of these were explicitly free add-supported networks.
