RFC1541 specified a minimum lease duration of one hour. RFC2131 removed that constraint. As I read it, there is no protocol specified minimum currently. Even so, in the enterprise anyway, an hour's lease would certainly be abnormal, even bizarre. What is the normal best practice range for ISPs? - Jeremy
