   FWIW, this is unlikely with any normal DHCP configuration.  DHCP has a
   long window for lease renewal, so unless you go offline for an extended
   period of time (typically a day or two), you won't change IP addresses.

The duration of a DHCP lease totally depends on how the server is
configured.  If an ISP is short on IPs, I can (and have) see a lease
as short as an hour.

I'm not saying that such short leases are recommended in general, but
they are quite legal DHCP.
