The "speed up Netflix with a VPN" video doesn't tell the entire story There's a video going around now with a guy asserting that his better performance with Netflix when using a VPN somehow "proves" purposeful ISP throttling of Netflix. Any given evil ISP may or may not be throttling, but the VPN test is anything but conclusive due to the complexity of the environment. This article -- back in February -- explains why. Now I'm wondering why this fellow is getting so much publicity today with a story that was essentially debunked in key respects months ago.
