Administrivia: Problems with Gmail deliveries A quick note. There is an ongoing, and apparently somewhat intermittent, problem with deliveries to Gmail users of direct mailings and/or digests from my three primary lists (NNSquad, PRIVACY, PFIR). Gmail has rather suddenly started incorrectly categorizing various of these materials as spam and dropping them into Gmail spam folders, despite users repeatedly manually marking them as not-spam. The underlying cause for this issue is not obvious but *is* already under active investigation. A reported workaround is to create a Gmail delivery rule (that is, a "filter") to catch the deliveries. Short of that, diligently checking Gmail spam folders is the best best right now, assuming you don't want to switch deliveries to a non-Gmail address (which should be unnecessary, since I'm confident this issue will ultimately be fixed). Of course, if this Administrivia message also goes to spam, and you're not already checking your Gmail spam folder, you're not going to see it. Oops. Take care, all. --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein (lauren@vortex.com): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Lauren's Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com Google+: http://google.com/+LaurenWeinstein Twitter: http://twitter.com/laurenweinstein Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 / Skype: vortex.com _______________________________________________ nnsquad mailing list http://lists.nnsquad.org/mailman/listinfo/nnsquad
