Report: Teens Actually Do Care About Online Privacy http://j.mp/1aD3P5e (Dark Reading) "Now, a collective sigh of relief from parents of teens: More than half of American teenagers have steered clear of a mobile app due to worries about privacy. That's a surprising finding from a new report by Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project. While nearly 60 percent of American teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 have downloaded an app on their smartphones or tablets, it appears many of them actually do pay attention to how much information they have to share in return." - - - --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein (lauren@vortex.com): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com/privacy-info Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Lauren's Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com Google+: http://google.com/+LaurenWeinstein Twitter: http://twitter.com/laurenweinstein Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 / Skype: vortex.com _______________________________________________ nnsquad mailing list http://lists.nnsquad.org/mailman/listinfo/nnsquad
