Wikipedia removes hoax entry after five years, but what of the "VIDEO"? http://j.mp/13hcLru (Google+) Be sure to watch that Bicholim Conflict video! [see G+ link above] The fact that Wikipedia finally caught the faked Bicholim Conflict entry and removed it after five years (who is responsible? who knows? With Wikipedia, nobody is ever responsible, because virtually nobody will stand up for their work and be identified as would be the case for serious reference works!) doesn't alter the fact that the misinformation is now permanently spread around *all over the Net* to confuse and mislead future students and researchers. Who the hell knows how many other cases there are like this, and perhaps more importantly, individually altered "false facts" that have evaded detection by Wikipedia's anonymous "experts." --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein (lauren@vortex.com): http://www.vortex.com/lauren Co-Founder: People For Internet Responsibility: http://www.pfir.org/pfir-info Founder: - Network Neutrality Squad: http://www.nnsquad.org - PRIVACY Forum: http://www.vortex.com/privacy-info - Data Wisdom Explorers League: http://www.dwel.org - Global Coalition for Transparent Internet Performance: http://www.gctip.org Member: ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Lauren's Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com Google+: http://vortex.com/g+lauren / Twitter: http://vortex.com/t-lauren Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 / Skype: vortex.com _______________________________________________ nnsquad mailing list http://lists.nnsquad.org/mailman/listinfo/nnsquad
