AT&T's cash buying T-Mobile merger backers?

      money they received from AT&T. And AT&T says it supports nonprofit
      groups because it's the right thing to do - and not because of any
      quid pro quo."

One wonders what these groups' odds would be of getting any similar
donations from AT&T in the future, if they "came out" (no pun intended
in the case of one of the groups) opposed to the merger?
