This is Google's cloud-based music service, reportedly launched
without the cooperation of the music industry. Competitive pressures
to get something like this going have been intense. The reaction
(perhaps legal and otherwise) of the RIAA, etc., even to people
storing their own purchased music in the cloud, will be interesting.
Some recent suggestions from the music industry relating to
"acceptable" methodologies for this area have involved draconian
tagging and tracking requirements.
