Microsoft Meets the "Birthers": Google Responds re FISMA Certification http://j.mp/gBjVqK (This message in Google Buzz) Greetings. A couple of days ago, Microsoft essentially accused Google of lying about FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) authorization/certification of "Google Apps for Government" ( http://j.mp/f7Ruu4 [Microsoft Public Policy Blog] ). The concept of Google (or any reputable firm for that matter) lying about something that could fairly easily be verified seemed on its face rather odd, and I was surprised to see Microsoft going so far out on a limb with their accusations. In other words, much ado about nothing -- whether it's coming from the Steve Ballmer or Donald Trump camps.
