Microsoft Meets the "Birthers": Google Responds re FISMA Certification
http://j.mp/gBjVqK (This message in Google Buzz)

Greetings. A couple of days ago, Microsoft essentially accused Google
of lying about FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act)
authorization/certification of "Google Apps for Government"
( http://j.mp/f7Ruu4 [Microsoft Public Policy Blog] ).

The concept of Google (or any reputable firm for that matter) lying
about something that could fairly easily be verified seemed on
its face rather odd, and I was surprised to see Microsoft going
so far out on a limb with their accusations.

Today Google responded ( http://j.mp/hsfnRa [Official Google
Enterprise Blog] ) and it appears that Microsoft's incriminations can
be safely relegated to the same trash heap where the looney ["Obama
wasn't born in the U.S.!"] "Birther" wackos apparently dig up their
sometimes imaginative, but ultimately nonsensical arguments.

In other words, much ado about nothing -- whether it's coming
from the Steve Ballmer or Donald Trump camps.

Now let's get back to Planet Earth ...
