It's a shame.

     [ Now to be fair, the fact that AT&T is one of their sponsors is
       certainly interesting and worthy of note in this context, but I
       believe it's a bit of a leap (at least without more data) to
       assume that this relationship has necessarily controlled the
       group's opinion on this matter, which seems to be your
       implication.
