MPAA throws cold water on FCC's AllVid proposal and Google TV

Note the reasoning involved in the MPAA's objections.  They not only
want to control how their own legitimate material is presented, but
they want to make sure that any content that they don't approve isn't
even available via the same interface.  

Now that's entertainment!
