Google introduces "programming free" Android App Inventor

The only downside I see to this system is the poor confused
AT&T Android users with locked-down phones that won't run
non-Market apps.  They'll have no way to test their programs
on their actual phones without actually feeding them into
the Android Market system.

The concerns expressed by the author fearing "dumbing down" of
Market apps by this development environment seem unfounded in
practice.  Vast numbers of apps at all quality levels already reside
in the Market.  The trash falls to the bottom and the quality apps
rise to the top quite quickly.
