U.S./NSA launching massive Internet "Cyber Attack" Surveillance System

"The overall purpose of the [program] is our Government...feel[s] that
they need to insure the Public Sector is doing all they can to secure
Infrastructure critical to our National Security," said one internal
Raytheon email, the text of which was seen by The Wall Street Journal.
    "Perfect Citizen is Big Brother."

[ Pause typing for minor (as felt here) rolling earthquake ...
preliminary: 5.9, some distance away. OK, back to the
      quotes ... ]

"Don't worry, Winston; you are in my keeping. For seven years I
have watched over you. Now the turning-point has come. I shall
save you, I shall make you perfect."

Without addressing the (scant) details of this project, I'll make two
observations here. First, who the blazes comes up with the names for
these efforts? "Perfect Citizen" has a decided Orwellian ring.

Secondly, comparing the project with traffic cameras -- which tend to
be almost universally hated even by "perfect citizens," are often
attacked, and are currently being removed in some cities as abusive
and unfairly operated -- is something way short of brilliant. How
about comparing with something more people support and love --
like BP for instance?
