I have received confirmation from Google that my assumption noted in
"Complaining to me already about YouTube 'unlisted' videos" 
( http://bit.ly/azMGLG [NNSquad] ) was correct.  

"Unlisted videos are treated just like any other YouTube videos and are
 subject to the same Community Guidelines and DMCA complaint procedures."
