To be fair, though, they are responding quickly, and have taken steps to have the offending data removed.  It's hard to say whether they're trivializing it, though..  They don't really go into details on what they're doing with those affected.

What bothers me here is this statement :

"While we take this very seriously and it is a headache for those involved (to whom we apologize and are contacting), it's important to remember that you're never responsible if someone uses your credit card without your permission.  That's why it's okay to hand your credit card over to waiters, store clerks, and hundreds of other people who all have access to your credit card numbers. Still, this should have never happened and we take responsibility."

I haven't directly been the victim of a lost CC being used, or identity theft, but I know a few people who have been.  Regardless of responsibility, it's a major headache, definitely not something trivial.

I didn't recognize this service when I first heard about this incident..  Looking now, though, who in their right mind subscribes to something like this?  Seriously?  Displaying your purchase history to strangers?  This is just asking for trouble...
