FCC ponders free/low-cost wireless broadband services

By the way, whenever I hear about "free" Internet services based on
government programs, I immediately become concerned about the
probability of broad usage and content restrictions being part of the
package.  Given today's toxic political environment, it's easy to
imagine Congress using such programs as a way to claim to their voters
back home that they "clamped down on all of that awful Internet
content and nasty users."
