The site then shows you how your browsing habits are tracked by third-party sites for advertising purposes along with information such as location, age and gender that is inferred about you by these advertisers. In addition to showing you results, it asks for feedback on tools you may use to prevent third-party sites from learning about your browsing behavior. The site does not store any information such as cookies or IP address that could identify you. By participating you will not only be able to see your results, but aggregate results of others who have participated. It's easy to use and you just might learn something! Please go to the site: http://whattheyknow.cs.wpi.edu/ and click the button to "Find out What They Know". If you find it interesting please recommend it to others to try. - Craig Wills WPI Computer Science ----- End forwarded message -----
