[ NNSquad ] Verizon Channels Rudolph in 3G Coverage War

OK, Verizon Wireless gets the cute points on this one, even if their
ad campaign *is* significantly misleading overall.

As you know, AT&T is suing Verizon over ads that compare AT&T's 3G
coverage unfavorably to Verizon's, in a manner that AT&T says suggests
a massive total lack of AT&T wireless coverage, not just a lack of 3G
in various areas. Of course, the fact that the vast bulk of the
population in the U.S. is covered by both networks doesn't matter when
you're pushing pretty colored maps. Nor does the fact that T-Mobile is
expanding their 3G at an extremely rapid rate as well.

Anyway, in the latest salvo in the coverage war, Verizon has released
a commercial that portrays the iPhone and AT&T as ... well ...

Let's do it this way:

Here's the original sequence from a much beloved 1964 TV movie:

And here's Verizon's version:

No doubt AT&T is not amused. Hard to tell about Santa.
