[ NNSquad ] Wired vs. Wireless, etc. - End of Thread

Gang,

I'm calling an end to this thread for now. I've been selective in
what I've been sending through on this topic but we're starting to go
around in circles nonetheless. We can argue all day about sharing and
contention on wired vs. wireless circuits, what it means (or doesn't
mean) when you pay for Internet access of "up to" some arbitrary
speed, and continue on with the technological "mumbo jumbo"
indefinitely.

Bottom line: Most subscribers of consumer-level major ISP Internet
access services, wireless or wired, have little to no useful
information about how their circuits will perform over time, except
for the *maximum* theoretical speed that they might, perhaps, be able
to achieve occasionally.

Beyond that, it's all pretty much take what you can get, love the one
you're with, and eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow there will
probably be a usage cap.
