[ NNSquad ] More to think about re T-Mobile/Sprint
As noted in: http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/TMobile-21-Mbps-In-2010-104399 T-Mobile is planning a 7.2Mb HSDPA rollout by the end of this year, and is claiming a 21Mb HSDPA rollout starting next year. They've also been rapidly expanding their 3G footprint, to the tune of about a new city every 1.5 days: http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/TMobile-Playing-3G-Coverage-Catch-Up-104294 Where I'm located, I tend to bobble between EDGE and 3G, but a look at the detailed coverage map: http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/pcc.aspx?MapType=Data&WT.mc_n=3GMapCoverage&WT.mc_t=onsite shows massive expansion since I checked just six months ago or less, with most of the greater suburban L.A. area now 3G enabled. One thing I really like about T-M is the incredible detail of their maps -- in the past they've even e-mailed the exact location of new nearby cells of interest. It's amusing that despite all the efforts to get people to say "mobile phone" and such, the common term remains the much more technical "cell phone." The advantage of a single syllable, perhaps. --Lauren-- NNSquad Moderator
