[ NNSquad ] Google's New Anti-Advertising-Malware Project and Web Site

Greetings. Google's new (less than two weeks old) rather low-key
anti-advertising-malware project hasn't gotten the amount of
discussion that I believe it deserves. Basically, the idea is to help
ad network customers get a handle on whether or not particular
entities are attempting to distribute malware via advertising.

See:

http://www.anti-malvertising.com/

And yes, of course, Google has a vested monetary interest in reducing
the deployment of ad malware. But so what? Malware hurts everyone
(except the malware perpetrators, unless they get caught). Any effort
like Google's that can help stamp out malware distribution vectors is
a good deal in my book.

Still, the presumably purposelly vanilla name of the site leaves
something to be desired. It's certainly not as bad as, say, "The
Castle Anthrax" -- but maybe just a bit snappier would make
discussions somewhat easier. Or perhaps not ...

In any case, it looks like a worthwhile effort.
