[ NNSquad ] Re: Jackson Death Flash Crowd: Can we depend on the Net when it's most needed?
I've been complaining about all the implicit central dependencies. Imagine medical practices that are all SaaS and suddenly you have an emergency and you're disconnected. We need stresses to test the system and avoid complacency. We also need protocols that can work even if you're disconnected from "Internet Central" and it's DNS. Encryption is also important to deploy in situations where you don't trust all around you nor the paths they control. -----Original Message----- From: nnsquad-bounces+nnsquad=bobf.frankston.com@nnsquad.org [mailto:nnsquad-bounces+nnsquad=bobf.frankston.com@nnsquad.org] On Behalf Of Lauren Weinstein Sent: Friday, June 26, 2009 18:58 To: nnsquad@nnsquad.org Subject: [ NNSquad ] Jackson Death Flash Crowd: Can we depend on the Net when it's most needed?
