NNSquad - Network Neutrality Squad
[ NNSquad ] Comcast's ammended AUP:
http://www.comcast.net/terms/network/amendment/ http://help.comcast.net/content/faq/Frequently-Asked-Questions-about-Excessive-Use Effective Oct 1st, Comcast will be introducing bandwidth caps with the following properties: Above 250 GB/month, they will begin notification. First month, just notification. Second month, termination. They don't seem to suggest it is a hard cap, but rather a "notify then terminate" cap. They claim this will not affect 99% of their users, and that 95% of their users could many-fold increase their consumption without encountering the cap. This also SHOULD be high enough not to be considered too anti-competitive: The estimate I found on the Roku netflix box is it is ~ 1 GB/hour. So that would be >8 hours/day of streaming video of reasonable quality.
